Smokey The Bear sculpture

Smokey The Bear was created by artist Larry Gardner for the Sam Houston National Forest. Smokey weighs approximately 1,200 pounds. He is built out of 1/8 inch plate that is hand cut and hand bent. He has over 1,500 pieces of hair alone on his upper body. Smokey has just walked out of a forest fire and is carrying a baby deer and raccoon as well as a baby raccoon in his left pants pocket. Larry creates only one of a kind masterpiece's. His well known sculptures include wildlife, domestic animals and humans.

A Boy With A Dream Sculpture

Larry created this sculpture by using a cutting torch, welding machine, grinder, and a band saw. All pieces are hand built and made out of 1/8in plate and bent by hand. The tree was over 1,300 pieces of bark. No pattern was used. This sculpture weighs over 1 1/2 TONS.

The Indian sculptures

The Indians were created by artist Larry Gardner for the entrance at the ranch. They are 800 pounds each. A dove has lit on his hand and he is holding a spear in the other hand. Its all be cut and welded with 1/8in plate. This is all hand made and bent to achieve the realistic affect you see in all of my work.

The Golden Eagle sculpture

The Golden Eagle Sculpture weighs approximately 2,200 pounds. The Eagle itself weighs 625 pounds and has an 11 foot wingspan. The Eagle has 300 hand cut feathers on each wing. No two feathers are alike. Each piece of the sculpture is hand cut and hand bent out of 1/8 inch plate. Larry's vision was to build a fireman of today with the history of the Warrior. As you can see in the picture the Golden Eagle has already delivered the chainsaw and now is delivering the axe.
